old city, #Mardin. one of the oldest constantly inhabited places on Earth, standing on a hill, overlooking Mesopotamia. It is not far from the river Tigris, and Turkish border with Syria. Famous photographer Yousuf Karsh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yusuf_Karsh) was born here. may2013
